Visit to Historic Centre of Sintra, including a stroll
through the streets of the town, a chance to taste the
famous local cakes called 'travesseiros de Sintra' and a visit
to the Sintra National Palace.
You will see a fascinating group of buildings, which nestle in
the middle of the forest.
Then on to Quinta da Regaleira
and Seteais Palace. Let yourself
be enchanted by the Sintra Hills,
or “Mountain of the Moon”, as
they were called in ancient times.
There you can visit the Moorish
Castle and the Pena Palace.
Breath the fresh air of the hills with a hint of sea air and see
one of the most breathtaking views as you wend your way
through the winding byways through the Sintra Hills on the
way to Cape Roca, the most westerly point of Europe.
Feel like a noble in a land of Medieval Kings.
For lunch you will be able to choose between a traditional
restaurant and something more refi ned (your driver will be
able to advise you).
During the rest of the trip you will also be able to see the
wonderful beaches at Guincho and the cove at Boca do Inferno
(Hell’s Mouth). This is an opportunity to take some photographs
in an unforgettable setting.
Finally a drive along the Estoril coast road from the traditional
fishing village of Cascais to the Estoril Casino gardens. You
will also have the opportunity to see the Tower of Belém, the
Jeronimos Monastery, the 25th of April Bridge, the statue of
Christ the King and the Terreiro do Paço – which was rebuilt
following the 1755 earthquake and is one of Lisbon’s main
river ports, which was the point of arrival and departure of all
of the Portuguese Explorers.
